We had a lovely time visiting with my parents. It had been 4 years since our last visit (J was still a baby), so it was long overdue. Most of my pictures came out atrociously, here are the viewable.
yes. those are binoculars. to look at hermit crabs a foot away.

And I may have nightmares just thinking about looking at a hermit crab with binocs a foot away!

Fortunately, you can't see much out of those binoculars. They've had a lot of wear and tear over the years. A better set of binoculars may have helped the viewer determine that it was a blue crab rather than a hermit crab...yikes!
