eric carle museum

We went yesterday to the eric carle museum http://www.picturebookart.org/Home and watched a production of 'the musicians of bremen' as well. It was the boys first experience with the theater, and James now has the bug lol. Eliot was not a fan lol. We had a fantastic day, I am so glad we went! I got some pictures of my boys in front of a few of the large carle paintings.

Those are great pics, especially the last 2. The boys all look so happy! I can picture James as a little theater lover.

Was it planned that they be in the same spots or does Joe always double hold that way? I don't want his big, bulky muscles to overdevelop with the heavier on the same side each and every time ;)

I bet the Eric Carle museum was awesome. We created some animals based on his work as a project last year with the kids and the finished products were amazing.

I agree, J is starting to resemble joe more. E on the other hand, is still all you (if you ask me)

the paintings were all in a row in the foyer of the museum (the only place pictures were allowed, albeit flashless ones, so I literally made joe run from picture to picture with the kids in his arms lol. at least there will be lots of pictures of him with the kids to enjoy when we are old lol. and see? I told you that james is getting a bit more joe-like. really I think j is jsut a really good hybrid. E really is jsut a clone lol

Yes in J you see Daddy and Mommy... (as for right now at least) E is all Mommy. (I know how you feel Joe, I have "LIttle Paul" attached to me 24-7.)

Funny, Lexie randomly asked if the boy who calls her Seth is going to come visit again so we could go to the beach. (APparently we can't go without you guys.)

These pictures are lovely especially taken in a series. Can they be framed that way? Apparently running from picture to picture to pose is good clean, laugh-out-loud fun.

We loved Carle's books and illustrations. We think our kids liked them too. : )

Love,
Aunt Betsy and Uncle Mark

Does James call Lexie Seth?
Wow, that's a lifetime memory.

Eliot is into holding onto his daddy's big shoulders, but his sleeve keeps getting in the way!
Look at their expressions! What happy times!
