does anyone else...

...find this a little disturbing? What can I say, the boy loves to stand! Today he was playing with Joe in his crib (we need to get some use out of it!) and Joe let go for a second. Then he called me over. Then I got the camera. And here is the evidence! He doesn't sit. He is not really big into playing with toys. He rarely smiles for strangers. However, when using a death grip the boy can STAND on his OWN!

Wow! James has had a busy day! He's finding all kinds of ways for his parents to stay focused on him. That lower lip look brings back memories. Communication of needs and wants start early.

Anne and Joe you are doing a wonderful job raising James. Keep up the good work. There are tears and smiles but it's all worth it. Grammy

James is growing up so well.

I remember when Elizabeth first learned how to pull herself up in the crib. She screamed bloody murder bringing her father scrambling down the hall to ask, "What did you do to her!" I said, "Stand here a minute and watch." Mark did and within a couple of minutes Elizabeth pulled herself up again and screamed at the top of her lungs at her achievement. Mark said, "Oh". I thought, "Really!"

This stage was eventually followed by her wheeling around recklessly in some kind of walker. I had to wear work boots to preserve my own toes. It may not be too early to locate a hard toed pair of shoes.

Just saying,
